Hello, loyal Boulevard customers! Your faithful blogger has been a little slow on the uptake these last few months. My apologies! Now I'm back, with new product to hawk, specifically, this ball of flavored liquor courtesy of everyone's favorite rogue naval officer, Captain Morgan. Come get (responsibly) lit with these flavor-packed booze balls!
Seems to us that with colder temperatures, eggnog is in order. We are offering 1.75L bottles of Pennsylvania Dutch eggnog at the low price of $18.99.
Whether it's Christmas or not, nog is delicious all year 'round. Pennsylvania Dutch comes ready with fine spirits, nog, and spices, but you can always add more cinnamon, cloves, or your own special spin. Cheers!
Zima is back. What strange things are wrought by time.
In 1993, Zima was momentarily a cool option to replace wine coolers, which had gone out of style. (By the way, weird to think of an era where wine coolers were in style, right?) Almost immediately, the backlash to Zima was stronger than the trend. David Letterman made fun of it. It got a reputation as a "girly" drink. And people complained it wasn't any good.
Looking back, Zima looks quaint next to some of the stuff they pass off now as alternatives to beer and wine. Zima was replaced by Smirnoff Ice and that gang, followed by Four Loko and Sparks, and who knows what foul nonsense is next.
But if you want to relive 1993 and throw a Zima party, now you can. It's $8.99 at Boulevard. And even though it's of questionable coolness, it's actually not bad-tasting at all.
Two intriguing fruit-infused IPAs join the Boulevard lineup. These are not your ordinary fruity beers. Take the hoppy, higher-ABV IPA concept, introduce bitter grapefruit and tropical pineapple, and finish off with master brewmeister technique, and you have an outstanding beer. Beer Advocate gives Scuplin, the mother ship that gave birth to these offshoots, a "world-class" 97 rating. Dedicate yourself to the craft.
We heard you loud and clear: You want refreshing, fruity options, perfect for spring. Have we got the drink for you! Peach-a-Rita is the portable margarita choice you've been waiting for. So good, so smooth, and delicious without being overpowering. Spring, you've met your match.
We are in a really Halloween-y mood around here! You'll catch the spirit too when you check out our ghoulishly low prices. Take it from Mr. Pumpkin: "You can't beat Boulevard for low prices, service, and selection!"
In the old days, you had three choices: whiskey, vodka, and rum. If you were feeling womanly and were a woman, you could have red table wine or white table wine, and if you were feeling womanly and were a man, you could have Schlitz or Bud. Remind me again what was so good about these old days?
Crown Royal has one foot in the old world and one foot in the new. Yes, it's an iconic brand, so some people were a little shocked when it introduced apple and maple flavors. But guess what? People love them. And at the end of the day, people are what Crown Royal cares about. And they're what we care about here at Boulevard.
Now there's Crown Royal Honey. Think it's defiling a great brand? Then don't buy it! We've got regular Crown as well. But if you're curious, or adventurous, or new to "whisky" (as those Canadians spell it) and want to dip your toe into the pool, come try this new classic today.
Dudes love beer, so you'll love The Dudes' new brews, coming soon at Boulevard. There's the Bohemian Hopsody, an IPA from Germany by way of L.A., and Peach Berliner Weisse, which is as sweet and light as Bohemian Hopsody is hoppy. These dudes know what they're brewing, which is some of the best new craft to come along in a while.
It's Halloween in Maumelle, which can only mean one thing: Time to stock up with the help of your eerie friends at Boulevard Wine and Spirits! The "spirits" will be in full force as Darron, Donna and the gang make sure you get ghoulish good deals on all your favorites. But watch out for Darron's Curse, in which he condemns anyone who wanders into the stockroom to seven years of Fireball. We'll be working with a skeleton crew, but will make sure you get the best service this season. Season's creepings!
